Thomas Ichim, Ph.D.,
CEO

Dr. Ichim has served a variety of oversight roles for companies operating in the area of biologics. He obtained numerous regulatory approvals for companies such as MarrowTech Pharma, and worked as a Program Director for the global CRO bioRASI, under which he led efforts to develop, clinically assess, and approve various stem cell and cellular therapies. Ichim has also founded two companies, ToleroTech Inc. and MedVax Pharma Corp., which are developing proprietary technologies in the areas of RNA interference and cancer vaccines, respectively. Ichim is a member of Vendevia Partners, a venture development fund through which he has played a pivotal role in new start-up formation, most recently in the establishment and financing of OncoMune, an epigenetic cancer therapy company. Ichim was an invitee to a recent government-sponsored California-Canada trade mission and has been instrumental in establishing Medistem's extensive collaborative network. In addition to corporate responsibilities, Ichim is an accomplished scientist with numerous publications, including his participation in the award-winning publication on the discovery of the ERC cells, the basis for Medistem's core products.



Neil Riordan, Ph.D.,
Chairman and President

Dr. Riordan is an experienced, accomplished scientist/entrepreneur. He possesses broad experience in both the management of healthcare companies and in implementing novel medical protocols and treatments. He has directed one of the nations' leading cancer laboratories for 10 years, Project RECNAC of The Center for the Improvement of Human Functioning, and he has proven himself a successful entrepreneur with the launching and/or development of five commercial enterprises in health care related fields, each of which are currently in operation. In addition to his development skills, he is also an accomplished scientist with several issued and pending patents in the fields of stem cells and cancer and publications in many prestigious journals, including British Journal of Cancer and Medical Hypotheses.



Steven M. Rivers, C.P.A.,
Vice President and CFO

Rivers is experienced at financial management of publicly traded companies. Prior to joining Medistem, Mr. Rivers co-founded Rivers & Moorehead PLLC, an internal controls, accounting and financial reporting consulting firm specializing in serving small and microcap publicly traded clients. He has been a personal consultant to over 15 publicly traded clients. He began his career with KPMG and Arthur Andersen and served in various managerial roles for a Global 1000 enterprise. He is a licensed certified public accountant.
